Day 2 senior national squash games kerala
The Senior National Squash Games are going on in Kerala

Day 2 of the qualifying for the Senior National Squash Games in Kerala started with Men’s Round 4. Maninder Pal Singh Sandhu did not waste any time in beating Ankit Singh (3-0). Surprise package from Manipur Keisham Tomba Meitei gave his best in the court but Rishi Jalan (Delhi) ended his winning momentum.

As the crowd constantly looking out for an upset, Sudharsannam Iyyandurai seemed like the first one to do so against Paramjeet Singh. Sudharsannam won the first set 11-7, but couldn’t keep up his good performance throughout the match. It looked like Paramjeet found a weakness on Sudharsannam as he was outplayed in the following sets to win the match 3-1 (7-11,11-3,11-5,11-6).

In the match between Mudit Pant and Siddharth Phutela, the crowd finally witness a simple but effective game play by Siddharth as he beat Delhi’s Mudit 3-1. Siddharth simply returned every single ball and defended some attacking strokes of Mudit. A frustrated Mudit ended up hitting the tin multiple times and could not stay in the match in the last 2 games. Have to say that Mudit Pant lost to Siddharth Phutela 1-3 (10-12, 11-8, 4-11, 6-11).
