Abhay Singh prevailed over Parthiban Ayyapan to win the Salem Open

Second seed Abhay Singh of Tamil Nadu defeated his team mate and top seed Parthiban Ayyapan 13-15, 13-11, 11-3, 12-10 to grab the men’s title in the SSA-Salem squash open.

In the junior section, the second seed Nehaarika Balamurukan (TN) came back from two games down to end the giant killing acts of Amita Gondi (AP) and lift the U-19 girls title 9-11, 10-12, 11-2, 11-4, 11-8. The boy’s title went to Vijay Kumar (TN) who kept his top billing intact by beating the second seed Aran Thawani (Mah) 11-4, 11-4, 11-4.
