World Table Tennis Championship 2018: Indian Women's team drawn with Singapore, China, Men's team pooled with Korea, Poland

Indian Women's Team at Gold Coast 2018

After the successful domination in Gold Coast, the Indian Table Tennis teams are all set for the Liebherr World Table Tennis Championship 2018 which will take place at Halmstad, Sweden from 29th April to 6th May. After the Commonwealth Games 2018, the expectations have risen from Indian female paddlers especially from Manika Batra, who showed the world why she is India's top-ranked female paddler.

India stands in the Group A along with China, Russia, Belarus, and Singapore. In Group A of women's division, Manika Batra along with Mouma Das, Madhurika Patkar, Pooja Sahasrabudhe and Sutirtha Mukherjee, will represent India's Women Table Tennis team. The women's division draws are as follows:

As we talk about men's Table Tennis team, there were several memorable performances by Achanta Sharath Kamal, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran in Gold Coast. They have been drawn in group D, which seems to be a tough competition with the countries like France, Poland, and Korea.

Along with Sathiyan and Achanta, Anthony Amalraj, Harmeet Desai, and Sanil Shetty will also take part in the championship. Almost 150 nations will participate in the Liebherr World Championship 2018. It looks like after Gold Coast, the expectations are high from all the Indian paddlers. This will be a great opportunity to make Table Tennis, a major sport in India and for the Indian youth.
