American actor Chris Robinson, known for playing the role of Rick Webber on General Hospital, tragically passed away on June 9, 2025. The actor was 86 years old when he died of heart failure in his sleep at his ranch near Sedona, Arizona.

General Hospital fame Chris Robinson's death was officially announced on social media by his friend and colleague, MJ Allen. On June 10, 2025, Allen posted on Facebook, confirming Robinson's death. Allen wrote,

"My good friend Chris Robinson aka "Dr. Rick Webber" has died. He peacefully passed in his sleep at his ranch near Sedona, Arizona at 12:30 am on June 9, 2025. He had been in heart failure for some time, and is his official cause of death."

In the Facebook post, MJ Allen paid tribute to the late actor, besides mentioning the details of Robinson's tragic death. Additionally, Allen talked about Robinson's role in General Hospital and how it made him a popular television star. Allen stated,

"His more than 100 roles in television and feature film span from 1957-2022. Most notably, his longtime role as "Dr. Rick Webber" on the ABC daytime drama General Hospital made him a worldwide television star."
