However, Cody Bell has been off-screen after it was revealed that he was the son of Mac Scorpio. This is because Josh Kelly has temporarily exited the sopa to film an action movie titled The Workout.

However, Kelly intends to return to the soap after his filming work has wrapped up. In an interview for Digital Journal on July 21, 2024, the actor said:

"It is an honor to be working in the daytime field in general. [General Hospital] has been around for over 60 years, and it has touched so many lives. It really is a privilege to be a part of it."

Cody Bell first appeared on General Hospital in June 2022, when he performed a skydiving stunt straight into the Metro Court Pool. He met Dante Falconeri, who was revealed to be his best friend from their teen years.

Cody took on a job at the Quartermaine stables and started getting to know the people of Port Charles a little better. He had a crush on Britt, who did not have a very good opinion of him after his stunt at the Metro Court Pool.

Later, Cody became involved in an operation to save his friend Sasha Gilmore when she was held in captivity by her mother-in-law Gladys. Slowly, Cody won over the trust of a drugged and traumatized Sasha, who thanked him for saving her. After some time and trust, the two even started dating, a relationship that continues to date.
