American Heritage High School's running back Byron Louis flipped his commitment to the Florida Gators from the Florida State Seminoles on Tuesday, Nov. 26. The four-star prospect pledged his allegiance to FSU in September this year but has now joined their state rivals.

Louis became the third athlete in the last ten days to transfer to Florida from FSU. Billy Napier's side has been fantastic this month in the recruiting cycle, acquiring commitments from Tramell Jones, Daniel Pierre Louis, and now Byron Louis.

Hayes Fawcett shared the news about the four-star running back's flip on X and fans jumped on to it in a flash, expressing their opinions about the rusher's decision.

Fans criticized Mike Norvell and FSU for failing to hold on to some of the best high school athletes in the country.

"What in the world is going in Belle Glade, FL?" one fan said.
"Mike Norvell murdered FSU," another fan said.
"How does Norvell still have a job," one fan said.

However, most of the fans praised Billy Napier for his ability to fulfill commitments this month.

"At this point, Billy is gonna flip Mike Norvell next," one fan said.
"Props to Billy Napier - everyone was talking about firing him to now all anyone can talk about is an upwards projection for that program!" another fan said.
"Gotta give Napier his flowers. With his back against the wall, he won a few big games and changed the entire recruiting class," one fan said.

Byron Louis is ranked No.231 nationally and is the 17th-best running back in the Class of 2025, as per On3. He is also the 33rd-best overall prospect from the state of Florida.

Byron Louis talks about the Florida Gators

Byron Louis, a four-star running back from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, announced his commitment to the Florida State Seminoles in Sept. this year. However, he flipped his commitment to the Florida Gators on Tuesday after a couple of visits to Gainesville this month.

Louis chose the Gators over other programs, such as Miami, Georgia, Wisconsin, USC, Alabama and Auburn. In an interview with On3, he spoke about the program and its upward trajectory.

"I mean, honestly, the trajectory of this team, it’s only up from here," Louis said, as per On3. "I like to say that winning is hard and I feel as if they’re starting to find that recipe. They’re starting to put it together."

The 5-11 rusher became the Gators' 19th commitment from the Class of 2025. Their class is ranked No.17 in the country, per 247Sports.
