Jesse Harrold's decommitment from the LSU Tigers has put a dent in the program's recruiting class. The four-star edge rusher took a U-turn from his pledge to the Tigers on Thursday, making him the third decommitment for Brian Kelly this month.

Devin Harper and the country's No. 1 prospect, Bryce Underwood, were the other two athletes who de-committed from the Tigers in November. Harper flipped his pledge to Ole Miss on Nov. 16, whereas Underwood chose his home-state program of Michigan five days later.

Harrold's decision to move on from LSU has cast doubts about Brian Kelly's future among college football fans in the country. The third-year coach is facing a lot of heat for losing three major commitments in one month, including the nation's best quarterback.

"Brian Kelly shoved in another locker? shocker," one fan said.
"Get ready to learn sandstorm buddy," another fan commented.
"Bye bye Brian Kelly," another fan wrote.

However, some fans were speculating about Harrold's next destination, with Florida State being the favorite.

"Smart decision young man," one fan wrote.
"He’s going to fsu," another fan commented.
"This loser about to go to Florida State," another fan wrote.

Jesse Harrold is ranked No. 144 in the country and is the 19th-best edge rusher in the Class of 2025, as per On3. He is also the 23rd-best overall prospect from the state of Florida.

Florida State is leading the race to land Jesse Harrold after his de-commitment from LSU

The LSU Tigers' loss could be the Florida State Seminoles' gain as the four-star edge rusher, Jesse Harrold, is expected to land in his home-state school, as per On3.

The recruiting website has given the Mike Norvell-led side a 96.8% chance of landing the defenseman. Other teams in contention are Texas A&M, Illinois, Florida and Colorado. Harrold is at the Florida State campus this weekend for their game against the Florida Gators on Sunday.

The Seminoles have had a difficult season on the field this year. They have won only two out of 11 games so far and were on a six-game losing streak before their win against Charleston Southern last Sunday.

FSU is ranked No. 38 in the country and has acquired 13 commitments to date, as per 247Sports. Harrold has a chance of becoming the Seminoles' sixth four-star commitment from the Class of 2025.
