The freshman-sophomore duo of Tatianna Griffin and Kaleena Smith has remained dominant, leading the Ontario Christian Knights to a 4-0 start. They were in Duncanville, Texas, for the Holiday Hoops Fest and took on the host, the Duncanville Pantherettes. The duo led the Christian Knights to an 89–51 victory on Friday.

Smith a.k.a. "Special K" is considered the consensus No. 1 overall prospect from the Class of 2027. The sophomore had 29 points and five rebounds in Friday's game, while Top 25 freshman Tatianna Griffin added 23 points and eight assists. Their dominating performance got fans talking on Instagram.

"Kaleena is unstoppable!! Tatianna is a beast! OC = best in the nation? Let’s see how they do against Chavez tomorrow," one wrote, hyping up the game vs. Monterey
"Kay is only a sophomore? h she’s different!" Another wrote.

Many were amazed that Griffin and Smith were still in their freshman and sophomore years, meaning the duo could stay together longer and dominate more.

"That’s a scary backcourt especially that young. If I had to face that combo for 2 more years, I’d move," one wrote.
"They scared of youuu Kay Kay," one wrote.
"It’s giving the best duo out right now!!" Another wrote.

The 4-0 run for the Ontario Christian Knights included a 74–66 win against five-star LSU commit Grace Knox and the Etiwanda Eagles on Nov. 23. They will take on 15-1 Texas powerhouse team, the Monterey Lady Plainsmen next, on Saturday. The team is led by 2025's No. 1 prospect, Aaliyah Chavez.

What is next for Kaleena Smith and the Ontario Christian Knights?

Aaliyah Chavez and Monterey will be the Christian Knights' biggest challenge for November. Their December schedule is also packed. After the Lady Plainsmen, they will take on Portola on Dec. 2 and Troy on Dec. 4. On Dec. 6, they will challenge Fairmont Prep.

Next, Kaleena Smith and her team will face Windward High School on Dec. 12 and end the year with a game against Bishop Montgomery on Dec. 14. Their first game of 2025 will be against Millenium on Jan. 3.
