Top prospects from the Class of 2025, Kiyan Anthony and AJ Dybantsa, attended the NBA Top 100 Camp. Dybantsa, the No. 1 recruit in his class, was joined by Tyran Stokes, the top recruit from the Class of 2026. The players were interviewed by a YouTube channel called Betweenxthelines on November 24, where they answered various questions. One particularly interesting response came when they were asked to name their all-time NBA starting five.
Dybantsa and Stokes answered together but were not sure as to who they would put at the 1 position.
"We just talked about this. I'm putting KD at the four, LeBron at the three, Mike at the two, Shaq at the five, but I don't know who would be the 1. Are you putting Steph at the one?" Dybantsa asked Stokes.
"If you wanna get crazy put LeBron at the one. You could put LeBron at the one, Mike at the two, KD at the three, Kareem at the four, Shaq at the five. (1:04 - 1:28)
Meanwhile, former NBA star Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony also gave his take on the matter.
"Steph at the one, MJ at the two, LeBron at the three, Tim Duncan at the four, Shaq at the five," said Kiyan (0:59 - 1:04).
Kiyan Anthony followed in his father's footsteps after committing to his alma mater Syracuse on Nov. 15. The No. 35 recruit chose the school over offers from Florida State, USC, Providence, Michigan and more.
In the Nike EYBL, the Long Island Lutheran High School player averaged 19.6 ppg and 4.6 rpg. Furthermore, he produced another remarkable performance on May 18 against Pro Skills Elite, scoring 28 points while shooting 50% from beyond the arc.
Why did Kiyan Anthony join Syracuse?
Kiyan Anthony broke the news about his son joining the Orange on his father's podcast "7PM in Brooklyn."
"Ultimately, it came down to my relationship with the staff," Anthony said to ESPN. "From day one, when they started recruiting me, they made me feel like it was family.
"My dad's name on the facility is special, but I want to go in there and create my own name, and I've already done that through my dedication in the offseason, with early-morning practices, playing at camps, playing on the circuit."
Anthony joins Aaron Womack, Luke Fennell and Sadiq White as the recruits who have committed to the Orange.
