Red Bull has been one of BYU signee AJ Dybantsa's top NIL partners, taking the No. 1-ranked 2025 prospect to Monaco for the F1 Grand Prix. There, the five-star small forward met some of the biggest names in Formula 1 racing.
Dybantsa shared highlights from the Grand Prix in a video on his YouTube channel on Saturday.
In Monaco, he mingled with athletes from other sports, including Olympic fencer Miles Chamley-Watson.
"This has been crazy, I didn't even pick up the camera, me and Miles just chopping it up, super cool dude," Dybantsa said (Timestamp: 3:40).
Much like Dybantsa, Chamley-Watson is also a Red Bull athlete. He won gold at the world championships twice, in 2013 as an individual and in 2019 for the team competition. He also won a bronze medal in the team competition at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Dybantsa attended several F1-related parties, tried local food and watched the race. He also met Red Bull's ace, Max Verstappen, and took a picture with him.
The race, which took place on May 25, was won by McLaren's Lando Norris, with Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finishing second. Verstappen was fourth.
AJ Dybantsa is preparing for 2025 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup
Before his freshman year at BYU, AJ Dybantsa will head to Colorado Springs to participate in the USA Basketball training camp ahead of the 2025 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in Lausanne, Switzerland, from June 28 to July 6.
Dybantsa is one of the 33 athletes invited for the training camp. The team will be helmed by Arizona's Tommy Lloyd, with Dybantsa, Koa Peat, Chris Cenac Jr., Caleb Holt, JJ Mandaquit and Tyran Stokes returning from last year's U17 World Cup-winning squad.
The training camp is scheduled to begin on June 14, with the United States aiming for a seventh straight global cadet title.
