Bad Memory Eraser episode 15: Sae-yan’s father killed Ju-yeon’s father
Bad Memory Eraser episode 15 began with Lee Goon. As shown in the previous episode, Goon had surgery to reset his memory, and following that, he became the person he was before the Bad Memory Eraser undertaking. He felt sad and depressed again after remembering the things he had forgotten. He was too drunk to care for himself, and this kept him away from his friends and family.
Goon’s father met Ju-yeon and told her what was wrong with him. She told him that making more good memories would help Goon overcome his bad memories. Then, his father picked a bad time to picnic with his family, as it started to rain.
When they weren’t at home, Ju-yeon cleaned up Goon’s room. She picked new curtains, lights, and a diffuser to put in his room to help him feel better. The family was upset when they got home, so Goon went to his room. He entered his room and found an apology note from Ju-yeon. As Goon was mad at her, he threw it.
Ju-yeon quit her job at the hospital and told Professor Han to keep an eye on the project as she couldn’t trust Tae-oh. She then gave her name for the disciplinary action as she started the Bad Memory Eraser research, and it was Ju-yeon who managed Goon’s agency while he was not at work.
Moreover, when Goon’s mother saw her children in pain, she knew she had made a mistake. Goon’s parents stood up for him when Chief Hong came to his house and called him a loser, and this act made Goon feel better.
Shin, Goon, and their mother came together to drink some alcohol after Chief Hong’s incident. She told her sons she was sorry for making them do something they never wanted to. She also said she wanted to be a volleyball player but had to give up on her dream because of her height, and this was why she tried to make her dreams come true using them. After some time, their father showed up and apologized, and things between the family seemed to get better.
In the meantime, Sae-yan’s mother came to Ju-yeon’s house and looked for her daughter. Even though she was still in Seoul, her mother told Ju-yeon’s mother that Sae-yan was with her father. This made Ju-yeon’s mother so mad that she couldn’t tell Ju-yeon anything.
Furthermore, Sae-yan’s mother said she couldn't inform her about her father’s former criminal activities. Ju-yeon’s nephew heard them talking behind their backs.
Another day, Goon got his checkup at the hospital, where he learned about Ju-yeon’s past. Ju-yeon started the Bad Memory Eraser project because she wanted to get rid of some childhood memories, and the nurse told Goon about it. She told him Ju-yeon’s father had been killed in front of her eyes and said Ju-yeon remembered the murderer’s face clearly and hence wanted to erase that memory.
In the meantime, Sae-yan was seen with her father, who ran a car servicing facility. When her dad gave her beer, she passed out after drinking it. He brought her to his house and told her he had been following her around Korea for a long time, making her uncomfortable.
There was a thorough flashback of the events that followed this, and it all started when Sae-yan returned to her hometown. When she reached the house where she grew up, she saw Goon’s medal lying on the floor and some mail in the mailbox that contained an invitation to the alumni gathering. Sae-yan had no idea her father was always watching her.
Sae-yan reached the reunion with the medal to find out more about her father. She then hung it on the tree, which Goon noticed right away. Goon followed Sae-yan to the parking lot and saw her kissing Shin in the car. Meanwhile, Sae-yan’s dad was also watching over his daughter, and it was then he decided to harm Shin.
Therefore, he revealed how he blackmailed Shin with photos of his argument with Goon on the bridge, destroying his career. He did this because he thought Shin was troubling his daughter.
Later, he said he would hurt Ju-yeon. He left after locking Sae-yan in the room when she tried to stop him. Sae-yan’s father was seen following Ju-yeon in the next scene, but he ran away when Ju-yeon saw him. He followed her with an intention to kill her.
When Ju-yeon returned home, her nephew informed her that Sae-yan was still in Seoul with her father. Ju-yeon’s mother interrupted their conversation and tried to refrain her daughter from contacting Sae-yan, as she was trying to hide a secret about her father.
Towards the end of this episode of Bad Memory Eraser, Shin took out the medal that Goon locked in his locker. He handed it over to Goon and disclosed that Sae-yan was his real first love, not Ju-yeon.
While sitting in his room, Goon looked into his childhood memory of when he fell in the water and a girl saved him. He realized the girl in his memory was still Ju-yeon, and he couldn’t remember any other face. Episode 15 of Bad Memory Eraser ended here.
