“Even kids in their early 20s don't do that” — Choi Soon-sil’s daughter slams Jung Woo-sung over marriage views amid his fatherhood reveal

On November 25, 2024, News 1 reported that Jung Yu-ra, daughter of Choi Seo-won's (formerly Choi Soon-sil)—former adviser/friend of the former South Korean President, Park Geun-hye—slammed actor Jung Woo-sung after it was revealed he was the father of Moon Ga-bi's child.

For the unversed, on November 24, Dispatch reported that Jung Woo-sung's agency, Artist Company, confirmed that The King actor had a child with the Korean model, Moon Ga-bi. It further stated that the actor and Moon Ga-bi weren't dating officially and had met in 2022.

On November 25, Ten Asia reported that Moon Ga-bi wanted to marry Jung Woo-sung after getting pregnant around June 2023, but he allegedly refused and offered her money instead. Meanwhile, referring to the same, Jung Yu-ra, posted on Facebook, calling Jung Woo-sung selfish. She wrote:

"Even at that age, he’s going around without using birth control and they aren’t even dating. He probably has gone around doing similar things?? He talks about politics without getting involved, and yet he has a baby and doesn’t want to get involved with marriage."

Jung Yu-ra added that when the child will grow up, he would be treated as an illegitimate child by the society and said:

"He's so selfish. He's a real legend. He says he'll take responsibility, but what does he mean by saying he doesn't want to get married? If he keeps at it when he gets married, they will be treated like an illegitimate child..how is that taking responsibility? These days, even kids in their early 20s don't do that."

More about Jung Woo-sung and Moon Ga-bi's connection

According to Ten Asia on November 25, 2024, the 35-year-old Korean model, Moon Ga-bi, halted activities in 2020. In 2022, she met Jung Woo-sung and reportedly got pregnant around June 2023. Ten Asia also reported that allegedly at the same time, he was also in a long-term relationship with a non-celebrity.

Moon Ga-bi cut off contact with the 51-year-old actor after that and disappeared from social media. However, in March 2024, while giving birth to her son, she tried to get in touch with the actor again, who reportedly maintained his stance of not getting married and offered her money.

After Moon Ga-bi's Instagram post, Dispatch alleged that the child's biological father was Jung Woo-sung, however, his agency denied claims. Two days later, on November 24, his agency stated that they were trying to protect the model and said:

"The child that Moon Ga-bi revealed through SNS is indeed Jung Woo-sung's biological child. We are discussing the best way to raise the child, and as a father, he will do his best for the child."
