The nominations for the 2025 SEC Awards were officially revealed on June 9. Voting is set to begin on June 13 through the event’s official website. Among this year’s highlights is the strong showing of K-pop artists in the International Song of the Year category—five of the eight nominees come from the Korean music industry.
BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook have both secured nominations. Jimin is nominated for his record-breaking solo single Who, and Jungkook for his fan-dedicated track Never Let Go.
Fans eager to support their favorite artists can participate by voting online through the SEC Awards website, where a countdown is already active as of the announcement.
Other K-pop nominees in this category include BLACKPINK’s Jennie (Like Jennie), Lisa (Rockstar), and Rosé (APT., featuring Bruno Mars). The full list also features international stars such as Lady Gaga (Abracadabra), Sabrina Carpenter (Espresso), and Kendrick Lamar and SZA (Luther).
The ceremony is a fan-voted event, making audience participation a key factor in determining this year’s winners.

The SEC Awards, or Séries em Cena Awards, are a Brazil-based entertainment event celebrating achievements across television, music, and film. Hosted by Séries em Cena, the awards often partner with major media brands such as MTV Brasil.
Last year, BLACKPINK’s Jennie won Best Actress in an International Series for her role in HBO's The IDOL. Meanwhile, BTS’ Kim Tae-hyung, aka V, earned both Asian Artist of the Year and International Album of the Year.
Jungkook bagged three awards last year, including International Male Artist of the Year. He also won Feat Of The Year and International Music Of The Year for his hit track Seven.
Jimin’s nominated track, Who, was released in July 2024 as the lead single from his second album, Muse. It became a major global hit, topping both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts. It also set a new record for Korean artists on the Billboard Hot 100, remaining on the chart for 33 weeks.
Meanwhile, Jungkook’s Never Let Go was released during BTS FESTA in June 2024. The fan-dedicated track quickly rose to number one on iTunes charts in 96 regions, adding to his growing success as a solo artist.
BLACKPINK’s Jennie earned her 2025 SEC Awards nomination with Like Jennie, a dynamic hip-hop single released in March 2025. Lisa’s Rockstar, her first major solo project after departing YG Entertainment, reached number one on the Global Excl. US chart. Rosé’s APT., a collaboration with Bruno Mars, dominated charts worldwide and became the longest-running number-one song of 2024 on the Billboard Global 200.
With public voting set to open on June 13, this year’s SEC Awards are expected to see strong engagement from global K-pop fans. The nominations also arrive as BTS prepares for a full-group reunion later this month, making the event especially meaningful for ARMY and K-pop followers alike.
