Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin has garnered attention online for her upcoming appearance at the talk concert which will take place on the day of BTS’ V's White Christmas music release. On November 25, My Daily reported that the former ADOR CEO will attend the Women Who Became a Genre talk concert by Hanwha General Insurance and Fol:In.
The event is organized by LIFEPLUS Femtech Research Institute and Fol. It will give a platform to women who have created their own paths to success and a channel for them to share their experiences in the journey. Notably, Min Hee-jin's appearance at the talk concert is on the first day, December 6, 2024.
The day also marks the release of V's song White Christmas, which was written in collaboration with the late British singer Bing Crosby. BTS fans are concerned about her appearance, as her comments during the School of Music D-talks First Live attracted backlash towards Kim Taehyung.
On October 29, Min Hee-jin claimed to have been contacted by V from the military, which made netizens believe that he violated military rules about not using mobile phones. However, on November 14, MLBP revealed that soldiers are allowed to use their phones at a specific time, and the BTS vocalist abided by the rule. Fans speculated that a similar incident may occur and showcased their concerns online.
"Do any of the BTS members have anything going around that time? The only reason she does these public lectures is to sway public opinion. She needs to be stopped,"- a fan said.
“When I saw this, my first thought was Why do KR companies keep inviting her? Now I know! The way the KR media is not afraid to associate with her, shows how corrupt and dirty the media is! They know they are untouchable and what matters is their agenda, not their reputation!”- a user commented.
“AND IT'S ON TAEHYUNG'S RELEASING DAY????!!! WTFFF B*CH,”- another fan stated.
Fans further shared their concerns about Min Hee-jin's appearance at the event as well as BTS’ V's music release and RM's documentary release.
“She does this every time specific hybe group or artist releases something. She’s so predictable that it’s sad,”- a fan wrote.
“Good luck listening to her whining and non stop bragging to those joining. Don't expect her to follow the time either!”- a user stated.
“She is going to rant about herself again...n may b bring some one New to throw under the bus like last time…”- a fan reacted.
On the other hand, some netizens sided with Min Hee-jin and showed their excitement to see her at the talk concert.
“In MHJ's girl group, she's the center, the face of the group, and the "It girl" of the 5th generation,”- a fan said.
“Every time I see something like this, I wish Daepyo would get a new title soon,”- a user said (translated by Google).
“The yapper is gonna have another talk section? Oh we will be sitted,”- another fan said.
Min Hee-jin resigns from ADOR as the internal director unfollowing NewJeans
On November 21, Min Hee-jin bid farewell to ADOR, a subsidiary agency of HYBE, as she resigned from the position of the in-house director in charge of NewJeans’ production. Following the announcement of her resignation, she shared an image of a rabbit on her Instagram page which was seen holding a placard stating the word, “resigned/resignation”.
Besides this, she also unfollowed the official account of the K-pop girl group NewJeans and the official page of ADOR on Instagram. In other news, she was sued by BELIFT LAB for accusing them of plagiarizing NewJeans concepts and other ideas for their girl group ILLIT.
On November 22, Min Hee-jin filed a defamation counter lawsuit against BELIFT LAB demanding 5 billion KRW for the damage, as she was persistent about her claims of plagiarism.
Meanwhile, Min's appearance at the Women Who Became a Genre talk concert on Friday, December 6, at 8:00 pm KST, will be her first talk show attendance following her resignation from ADOR.
