All you need to know about EDAM Entertainment's recent lawsuit against the individuals involved in crimes against IU

They suspected this particular person to be a middle school classmate of IU, and they filed a case against them. However, the actions from the person continued despite the case, due to which the idol not only faced plagiarism accusations but was also reported to the police for violating the copyright law.

"Investigative authorities identified some individuals who damaged IU's reputation by making unfounded plagiarism accusations. Information was also obtained about individuals who committed illegal acts using overseas servers and those identified as residing abroad. Among them, there's a person believed to be IU's middle school alumni, who has been continuing to harass the idol despite ongoing legal proceedings, and this situation is being addressed."

Additionally, the identified person also failed to appear for the first court hearing which took place at the Seoul Central District Court on July 24. There is a second hearing scheduled for December 4, and they are hoping for the person to turn up for the same. Regardless, there hasn't been any confirmation regarding whether the person who committed the crimes was actually a middle school classmate of IU.

While fans have been concerned by the amount of accusations and crimes against the idol, they are happy to see the agency take the necessary actions to protect the K-pop soloist.
