The nearing of his discharge date on June 11, 2025, is drawing large-scale attention throughout South Korea, with fan-driven tributes unfolding both in physical locations and across the internet, which have turned viral.

Supporters have rolled out visible campaigns in several public areas, including Incheon Airport, prominent malls, and near his base. Public transit, like buses and cabs, has been decorated with Jungkook-themed displays.

Fans reacted to Jungkook’s military discharge by highlighting his widespread influence. Social media was filled with praise for the organized projects and visible celebrations marking his return.

Supporters across South Korea honor BTS Jungkook’s military discharge with online affairs as well

BTS Jungkook’s military exit events gain traction on major Korean forums. FM Korea currently hosts two high-traffic threads exceeding 650,000 and 230,000 views each, while theqoo is also hosting a popular post related to the discharge activities.

Additional buzz is coming from spaces like Namcho Community Cafe, where discussions are rapidly gaining clicks. Coverage from local outlets confirms that fans have arranged food trucks near HYBE’s headquarters, and several cafés have been giving out complimentary meals to active-duty personnel.

Supporters of the BTS member launched a local goodwill campaign for troops in Yeoncheon to commemorate the wrap-up of his military term. The fan-led project, managed by @JJK_SUPPORTERS, is ongoing from June 5 to 8 near his designated base.

Nearly 196 service members attended on day one, with about 230 frozen desserts distributed as a thank-you. The initiative is held at Coffee Bay’s Jeongok branch in Yeoncheon and nearby Baskin-Robbins outlet in Gyeonggi Province.

Large-scale images of the BTS maknae were showcased at the Coffee Bay branch, where free drinks, snacks, and frozen treats were provided to attendees.

By day two, the crowd had grown, with more guests arriving to pose with custom-themed sweets. Soldiers in uniform carrying Jungkook-related fan gear were also observed strolling through the area.

The discharge festivities also seem to be affecting the 27-year-old's performance on Melon, South Korea’s top music-streaming site, which is showing an uptick in interest around his songs.


With rising engagement across social networks and widespread visibility in the public eye, the activities surrounding BTS Jungkook’s return from service have become a talking point across the country.
