Mr. Crocket is an upcoming horror film set to be released on Hulu on October 11. The film is billed as a Hulu Halloween special and follows a demonic children's show host, the titular Mr Crocket. The official synopsis of the film reads:
"In 1993, a mysterious children’s show host, Mr. Crocket, magically emerges from television sets to kidnap young children, brutally slaying their parents in the process. After Mr. Crocket snatches her son, one determined mother embarks on a perilous quest to track down the demonic entertainer and rescue her boy.”
The film is based on a 2022 short film of the same name, originally produced for Hulu's Bite Size Halloween and directed by Brandon Espy. The 2024 horror film is based on a script co-written by Espy and Carl Reid.

Mr. Crocket will premiere at Fantastic Fest
The horror film is set to premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 26, 2024. Following that, it will have a wide release on Hulu on October 11.
The film is produced by WorthenBrooks, with the lead producers on the project being David Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, Jenna Cavelle, and Carl Reid. Additional co-producers are Josh Feldman, Jesse Ford, and Sean King O'Grady, and the film's executive producer is Miles Alva.
Fantastic Fest has released a statement promoting the film, calling it reminiscent of A Nightmare on Elm Street and Tales From The Hood.
The movie stars Jerrika Hinton, Ayden Gavin, Alex Akpobome, and Kristolyn Lloyd in the leading roles, with the malevolent Crocket being played by Elvis Nolasco.
Elvis Nolasco has had an extensive acting career
Elvis Nolasco has had an acting career spanning back to the 1990s, when he starred in I Like It Like That, Law and Order, and New York Undercover. He's also had multiple collaborations with Spike Lee, starring in his remake of Oldboy, Clockers, and Da Sweet Blood of Jesus.
He gained increasing prominence in the 2010s as Nat Pettigrew on the MGM+ crime drama Godfather of Harlem, starring Forrest Whittaker as the New York gangster Bumpy Johnson, who was active in the 1960s.
Molasco also played two separate characters in the first two seasons of American Crime: Carter Nix in season 1, and Chris Dixon in season 2. He has had numerous recurring roles in further television productions, such as playing Detective Chip Lauderdale in Claws, J.P Keating in All American, Papo "Da Mayor" in She's Gotta Have It, and Tio-Teo in David Makes Man.
Fantastic Fest has praised the performance of Elvis Nolasco in Mr. Crocket while promoting the film, with their statement saying:
"Elvis Nolasco’s performance as the titular villain, Mr. Crocket, alternates between charming host and sociopathic murderer. A terrifying mashup of Freddy Krueger and Mr. Rogers, he owns the frame whenever he is onscreen as a charismatic and demented personality that will enrapture you just as much as he does the children he kidnaps."

Mr. Crocket is shaping up to be one of Hulu's most anticipated movies for their Halloween slate. The film will have a limited premiere on September 26, at Fantastic Fest, before having a wide release exclusively on Hulu, on October 11, 2024.
