While the post has been removed by the social media platform, it was viewed millions of times by the users despite X having a warning notification stating that the “post violated the X rules.” Entertainment Weekly reported that an X user, @mentallyillgus came forward and claimed that he was the person from the original video.

The publication also noted that the adult content creator is only 17 years old, which makes him a minor, and sharing the video on multiple social media platforms becomes even more questionable and unethical. Stating the same in a post, the user posted on X:

As Jacob Elordi’s fake explicit video did rounds on social media, many pointed out how the person in the video did not have his distinctive birthmark on the chest, hence ruling out the possibility of a potential “leak,” as claimed in several posts.

On the other hand, Jacob Elordi is not the only celebrity whose fake videos made rounds on social media. A few days back, Megan Thee Stallion also fell prey to such an act as a video of her started catching everyone’s attention.

On June 8, 2024, a doctored clip of the singer went viral on the internet and multiple social media platforms, which prompted a response from Megan, who took to X and said:

“It’s really sick how yall go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning. Yall going too far, Fake as* sh*t. Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it.”

Furthermore, in January 2024, several images of the pop star, Taylor Swift also started doing rounds, which showed her in an explicit state. However, the images were soon removed from the platforms as they were fake and were created using AI tools.

On the other hand, other celebrities like Scarlett Johanson, MrBeast, Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey, and even Piers Morgan have been in a similar situation as their fake images and videos have gone viral and grabbed eyeballs. However, one should be extremely cautious of what they are sharing on social media, as the advancement of technology is being misused by many on the internet.

As of now, neither Jacob Elordi nor his representatives have reacted to the fiasco, however, the netizens continue to comment and revolt against the fake images and videos of the Australian actor.
