Hallmark Channel unwraps new holiday romance To Have and To Holiday, a heartwarming new TV movie premiering as part of its holiday series. Directed by Stacey N. Harding and written by Grant Levy and Dominik Rothbard, the film stars Madeleine Arthur, Robert Bazzocchi, and Eric Close.

To Have and To Holiday premiered November 24 as part of Hallmark’s 2024 Countdown to Christmas series alongside 31 other festive films to be released this year. Hallmark Mystery will also showcase 9 more holiday movies throughout the season.

However, before giving his blessing, Pastor Mark challenges the pair with a holiday-themed bootcamp to test their compatibility.

Pastor Mark questions whether he can trust the decisions made by the two. So he puts them through the boot camp filled with holiday-themed challenges to find out. 1) Madeleine Arthur as Celeste Palmer

American-Canadian actress Madeleine Arthur is best known for her role as the daughter of Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz in Tim Burton’s Big Eyes (2014). She also starred as a series regular on The Family (2016), portraying the daughter of Oscar nominee Joan Allen.

Her TV credits include roles in The X-Files (1993), The Magicians (2015), and The Tomorrow People (2013). She also had guest appearances in shows like DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (2016), The Killing (2011), and Supernatural (2005).

In To Have and To Holiday, Arthur plays Celeste, a bride-to-be whose whirlwind engagement to Jason prompts her father, Pastor Mark, to test their commitment. The test? Through a Christmas-themed prewedding bootcamp. As the couple bonds through the holiday challenges, Celeste reflects on her passion for the fashion industry and her future dreams.

2) Robert Bazzocchi as Jason Arlington

Italian-Canadian actor Robert Bazzocchi is from Richmond Hill, Ontario. He began his journey in dance and robotics engineering before shifting to acting after graduation.

He worked with renowned talents like Eric Roberts, Gina Rodriguez, and Matt Bomer. In addition to acting, Bazzocchi writes and directs. He earns accolades for projects, such as his award-winning short film Alone Together (2020).

Bazzocchi plays Jason, who gets engaged to Celeste after a brief romance. Their plans for a quick wedding are challenged by his fiancé's father.

3) Eric Close as Pastor Mark Palmer

Born in Staten Island, New York, Eric Close is an actor, director, and writer. He starred alongside Tommy Flanagan in Legal Action (2018), playing an attorney defending his brother-in-law against a murder charge. In the same year, he appeared as Lt. Col. Jacobsen in the war drama Indivisible (2018).

Close is also known for his role opposite Connie Britton in the popular series Nashville (2012) and his nearly decade-long performance in CBS’s Without a Trace (2002).

Close plays Pastor Mark in To Have and To Holiday. He is Celeste’s father who challenges her and Jason with the bootcamp. Pastor Mark learns to trust his daughter’s decisions later in the movie.
