Kanye West, aka Ye, seemingly forgot about his album, Bully, in a recent text message. As per his update earlier this year, the album was supposed to be launched on Sunday, June 15.

On May 23, 2025, Ye was on Sneako's stream where he revealed that Bully would be released on June 15, 2025. He said (via Hot New Hip Hop):

"The Bully album is coming out on June 15, We sold vinyl, though. We just haven't made them yet. That sh*t is like, 30,000 units or something like that. [...] How do I beat the game? You don't beat the game by buying it. I think what I should do is do the opposite... Just put my sh*t up and... It's like you say, perception is reality."

However, NFR Podcast shared a screenshot of a text message between Kanye West and a friend on June 14. The latter shared a screenshot of a tweet asking whether the rapper would start promoting Bully. However, Ye responded:

"Which album is that."

Fans online have reacted to his response from the rapper, as one X (formerly Twitter) user wrote:

"Knew he was gonna do this. Gotta another Donda 2 situation on our hands."
"he has this weird thing where he announces an album and maybe does a few sessions for it and then because it exists in his head it no longer needs to actually exist in reality," another user commented.
"Crazy thing is he is probably dead*ss also," another wrote.

Some users also suggested that they don't care about the new album, as one wrote:

"He don’t care, like we don’t care."
"Tbf I also had no idea he was supposed to be dropping tomorrow," another tweeted.
"is anyone actually surprised or upset by this," another user commented.

Meanwhile, Kurrco shared another screenshot of a chat between Ye and another one of his affiliates. The latter asked the rapper about Bully, and he answered that he was working on it.

As per a report by Page Six, published on June 10, Kanye West has changed his name again, this time to "Ye Ye". The report states that they saw some legal documents, submitted by the rapper's chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani, filed under the name "Ye Ye".

This comes after he had changed his name to Ye legally in 2021. The rapper had said in 2018 that he would start using Ye as his name and completed the legal requirements in 2021.

In 2024, West's former chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, had sent out a letter to the music industry, urging them to refer to the rapper as Ye. It read:

"Ye is one of the most recognizable people in the world, on par with presidents and popes. He didn’t take the decision to change his name, potentially sacrificing some of the immense value captured by the brand of ‘Kanye West,’ lightly. The change was made fully, legally, and permanently. This is who he is now. His name is Ye.”

The letter asserted that Kanye West is his "slave name". However, he has changed it again, and "Ye Ye" also appears on his businesses, including Yeezy Apparel and his record label.
