In Sean "Diddy" Combs' trial, the rapper's ex-lover, who is testifying under the pseudonym Jane, returned to the stand on Tuesday. After three days of direct examination, the defense started its cross-examination on June 10. As reported by The Independent, on Monday, Jane testified that she and Combs parted their ways "peacefully" in March 2024.

According to CNN, earlier in her testimony, Jane claimed that she signed a "love contract" with Combs in 2023, in which the rapper agreed to pay her $10,000 monthly. On Tuesday, the jury was presented with alleged text and voice notes shared between her and Diddy after they returned from the Turks and Caicos trip.

In one of the alleged voice messages, Combs mentioned the "love contract" they had just entered into.

In the text and voice notes exchange, they reportedly shared affectionate messages after the trip. As per ABC News, after Jane signed a house lease funded by Combs, she sent him the following message:

Jane also told the jury earlier in her testimony that Combs allegedly sprung an "entertainer," whom she had earlier described as a male prostitute, during their trip for a "hotel night." She previously explained that these "hotel nights" allegedly involved sexual encounters with other men, which Diddy preferred Jane to engage in.

As per CNN, on June 7, Jane mentioned in her testimony that after the trip, she asked Diddy for an allowance. The rapper agreed to pay her $10,000 per month, which she was using as rent for the house she moved into in April 2023. Jane claimed that they entered into a two-year "love contract." She further testified that Combs is still paying the rent.

On Monday, she mentioned in her testimony that after HSI raided Diddy's home and left a contact card at Jane's place, the rapper hired her a lawyer. Jane stated that she continues to retain the same attorney, who receives payment from the Combs.

As per the Washington Post, Jane said that after this contract, she was expected to have sex with other men every time she met Combs. According to CNN, Jane said in her testimony that Combs was allegedly leveraging this when the defense attorney asked her if she believed that Combs would discontinue paying her rent.

“There were some times that I definitely felt that he would do that. And he used it kind of as a little tool. The rent was always just like a little reminder," Jane testified.

As per ABC News, on Tuesday, the defense attorney asked Jane if privacy was one of the reasons why Diddy agreed to pay her a monthly allowance. In her response, Jane said:

“We had just done so many hotels and privacy was just starting to become an issue for me. If we got a home that was to his taste level, we could just start doing them here in the privacy of our own home."

As reported by People, before Jane took the court stand on Tuesday, Judge Arun Subramanian denied the mistrial motion filed by the defense last week. The defense filed for a mistrial, alleging "prosecutorial misconduct," and questioned Bongolan's timeline of the incident in which she alleged that Combs dangled her from the 17th-floor balcony of Ventura's apartment.

The defense claimed that Diddy was not in LA on the date on which Bongolan said the incident took place. The judge ruled that the defense got sufficient time to question Bongolan about the timeline.
