"Everyday Whitney getting disrespected" — Fans react as Chloe Bailey claims she was convinced she and Kendrick Lamar would end up together

Kendrick Lamar unexpectedly released his new album GNX on November 22, 2024, without any prior promotions. The album is already breaking records and has received a positive response from critics and fans.

Meanwhile, singer Chloe Bailey recently shared her reaction to the album as she appeared on a live-streaming session. The video, which went viral on November 28, 2024, featured Bailey admitting her love for Lamar, saying she had been a fan of the rapper for a long time.

"Ask Halle [Bailey]. Branson [Bailey]. About eight years ago, I had a whole Kendrick phase. Like, I've had phases, right? Like, I had a James Fauntleroy phase. I had a Frank Ocean phase. I had [an FKA Twigs] phase. I had a Tune-Yards phase. I had a Kendrick Lamar phase, and I was convinced I was going to be with him."

While Lamar has not responded to Chloe's words on his album so far, netizens took to the comments section of a post The Art of Dialogue shared to share their reactions. One of them also wrote:

"Everyday Whitney getting disrespected left and right."

The response referred to Lamar's fiancée Whitney Alford. According to People magazine, the duo are the parents of two children, Uzi and Enoch. The pair got engaged in 2015 and Whitney has been featured on one of Kendrick Lamar's albums, To Pimp a Butterfly.

A few users were seemingly not satisfied with Chloe's words, and they addressed this in their reactions, pointing out that Lamar was engaged. A user also stated that Chloe wanted to get attention.

"This is tacky af because he has a gf or wife", a user wrote on X.
"So is Kendrick married or…?", a netizen stated on X.
"Lol she just wants attention", one of the users stated.

The responses continued, with Lamar's fans stepping in as one of them addressed his favorite line from the album.

"My favorite line from @kendricklamar new album is when he say "Yeah I'm tripping and I'm lovin' it"…on GNX I think….I hear you Dot", a user reaction mentioned.
"Great album", another reaction on X reads.

Chloe Bailey spoke up on her attraction to Kendrick Lamar

Chloe Elizabeth Bailey, known for playing Jazlyn Foster on ABC's Grown-ish, is part of the duo Chloe x Halle with her sister Halle Bailey. Together, they've released albums like In Pieces and Trouble in Paradise. In her latest video, Chloe praised Lamar's new album GNX, asking viewers if they've listened to it yet.

She further stated:

"I have had it on repeat for the past four, five days since it's been out. Let's discuss favorite songs."

Chloe recalled that she has been a fan of Lamar since his debut album, Section 80, came out back in 2011. Furthermore, she mentioned Lamar's mixtape Overly Dedicated as one of her favorites, following which she also shared her best choices from the soundtrack of GNX.

Chloe continued speaking about her love for Kendrick Lamar and said:

"I've been a die-hard Kendrick fan from day one. So, I haven't just hopped on the bandwagon now. But I'm happy a lot of people are hoppin' on the bandwagon. But I've been a hardcore Kendrick fan...when he was K. Dot."

Kendrick Lamar's sixth album is currently trending on platforms like Apple Music and is expected to become the most-streamed Hip-Hop album of this year, as reported by Vibe magazine on November 25, 2024.
