Rapper Moneybagg Yo took offense when a fan threw money at him while he was performing in a club recently. Videos of the incident surfaced on May 14, showing the Bussin rapper performing inside a nightclub when a fan threw dollar bills at him.

Moneybagg Yo didn't let this slide. He called out the fan for disrespecting him, alluding to him treating the rapper like an exotic dancer.

“Aye, throw the money at your b*tch, man. I ain’t the b*tch. F*ck wrong with you?! Let’s get this sh*t right, n*gga,” Moneybagg Yo said to the fan.

Fortunately, the situation did not escalate, and the rapper continued his performance.

Moneybayy Yo is the most recent rapper to have money thrown at him

Rappers are known for flaunting their wealth, showering themselves with stacks of cash and flashy jewelry in music videos. Some rappers are also known to throw money at their fans during concerts.

However, the tables have seemingly turned this year, as Moneybagg Yo joined a list of rappers who had money thrown at him, following Rick Ross and Offset. According to HipHop XD, a clip of a fan throwing money at Rick Ross' face went viral in January 2024.

In the video, the Maybach Music Group founder can be seen smoking a cigar and walking around a nightclub with a wad of cash in his hand. As he passes, a fan throws some bills at the rapper's face.

A seemingly calm Ross pulled a few notes from his stack and threw them back at the fan's forehead before throwing more money around the club.

While this situation was resolved calmly, a similar incident involving rapper Offset almost ended in a fistfight in April 2024. According to Hot New Hip Hop, Offset was reportedly about to exit a club when a patron threw cash at him. This seemingly incensed the rapper, who walked towards the person and tried to get a hold of them. The situation was de-escalated after security stepped in.

Moneybagg Yo accused of throwing fake money at concertgoers

In 2023, Moneybagg Yo was on his Larger Than Life Tour to promote his mixtape Hard to Love. During the concert, he showered his fans with cash. However, a young mother at the concert came forward on social media to allege that the money was fake.

“Real quick story time. My son went to his first concert tonight. Moneybagg came to St. Louis. So I brought my son to his first concert, spent $500 … And y’all won’t believe this. Look at this! They in there throwing fake money. Got my son all excited and they’re in there throwing fake money. Y’all, I can’t make this sh*t up,” she said.

She also showed several fake hundred-dollar bills in the video, clearly marked with the word "copy." Moneybagg Yo was quick to deny the accusation. According to Complex, the rapper took to Instagram on August 27 and said:

“Y’all just wanna say my name for anything I see. I might throw ones but ion care how much money I got I’m not throwing out real or fake hunnids. Wrong Man sh*t big Capp!!” he wrote

In other news, Moneybagg Yo is gearing up to release his fifth studio album, Speak Now, on May 24, 2024.
