Camila Cabello teased her brand new upcoming track Godspeed and the internet went crazy. The Havana hitmaker took to Instagram on Friday, August 30 to reveal a music video teaser for Godspeed which will release on September 6. The brand-new single, which teased themes of a breakup, will be part of the Magic City edition expansion of her fourth studio album C, XOXO, which dropped on June 28 of this year. The singer captioned her Instagram post:

"I wish you well, but far away from me,"

Cabello's Instagram post featured the singer taking a swim in what looked like a dark pool at night, seemingly without clothes. At one point, the teaser featured the singer wearing a sparkly dress while walking on a beach at night and also smashing up a white beachside piano. In a separate post announcing the Magic City deluxe edition, Cabello announced:

"Always more stories to tell. Some new songs for your night in Magic City,"

Social media users could not contain their excitement at Cabello's latest teaser. One user who went by @official_saintdan couldn't wait for the track to drop before the MTV VMAs which will take place on Wednesday, September 11. The user commented under Cabello's Instagram post:

Camila Cabello sang Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso

On August 29, Camila Cabello took part in Capital FM's 'Finish the Lyric' game where she was tasked to complete the lyrics of the track presented to her. During her first try, the singer finished the lyrics to the second verse of Sabrina Carpenter's hit track Espresso. She sang:

"I'm working late 'cause I'm a singer, Oh, he looks so cute wrapped around my finger."

However, she got mixed up towards the end and sang a part of the first verse as the continuation of the song. Cabello's performance of the track came amidst rumors of a potential love triangle between herself, Shawn Mendes, and Sabrina Carpenter.

The rumors were triggered by the release of Carpenter's sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, on August 23. As per Billboard, after splitting from Cabello in November 2021, Mendes was spotted spending time with Sabrina Carpenter in January 2023 and also at Miley Cyrus’s release party. However, in April of that year, he was also spotted spending time with Camila Cabello at Coachella. The duo were also spotted making out at the festival.

Tracks from Carpenter's Short n' Sweet like Coincidence, Taste, and Sharpest Tool all reference a former love interest getting back together with his ex-girlfriend, sending fans into a tizzy speculating about whether the lyrics were about Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. However, none of the singers have commented on the aforementioned rumors.
