Where is the MTV VMAs held this year? New date, performers lineup, nominations, voting period, & all we know so far

MTV VMAs will be held at the UBS Arena at Belmont Park in New York City, New York. Originally scheduled to be held on September 10, 2024, the show is now set to be held on September 11, 2024. The date was changed to avoid conflicting with the upcoming presidential election debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

The event will be broadcasted live from 08:00pm ET or PT via MTV channels. Voting for the event is currently ongoing and fans can vote through the official MTV website page for MTV VMAs voting.

In honor of the memory of the 9/11 attacks anniversary, MTV VMA will support non profits t 9/11 Day and Tuesday's Children, the former dedicated to preserving the memory of the attack and the latter dedicated to helping the families of those affected by said attacks in 2001.

The award ceremony will be produced by Bruce Gillmer and Den of Thieves co-founder Jesse Ignjatovic, with Barb Bialkowski acting as co-executive producer and Alicia Portugal and Jackie Barba being in charge of production as well. Meanwhile, Wendy Plaut will handle celebrity talent and Lisa Lauricella is music talent executive.
