Tenacious D ‘Rock The Vote’ tour 2024: Presale code, dates, venues, & all you need to know

Tenacious D ‘Rock The Vote’ tour 2024 is scheduled to be held from October 21 to 26, 2024 in venues across mainland United States. The tour will be the band's first new US tour of the year and is dedicated towards voter registration.

Presale for the tour is currently ongoing and can be accessed with the code LIBERTY. There will be other presales, including Live Nation and Ticketmaster presales, available from June 27, 2024 at 10:00 am local time. Public tickets will follow on June 28, 2024 at 10:00 am local time.

The band is collaborating with Rock The Vote non-profit organisation, which supports voter registration and educates people on voter rights and more. All proceeds from the brief tour will be donated to the non profit in support of its goals ahead of the US election this year.

Tenacious D is scheduled to perform across Australia and New Zealand ahead of their October US tour. The dates and venues for these performances are given below:

Tenacious D career overview

The band started their career in 1994 with performances in bars, which they continued till the release of their first studio album in 2001. Titled eponymously, Tenacious D the album was produced by Dust Brothers and released on September 25, 2001 via Epic Records.

The album was received positively by critics and fans alike, securing the 33rd position on the Billboard 200 album chart as well as multiple platinum certifications eventually.

The success of the first album spurred the band to realise their ambitions for their own film, and in 2006, the animated film Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny was released alongside its own soundtrack album. The film was a box office bomb but the album, The Pick of Destiny, was successful with a chart position within the top ten on Billboard 200 and a platinum certification eventually.

The band released their third studio album, Rize of the Fenix, on May 15, 2012 through Columbia Records. The album peaked at number 4 on the Billboard 200 and UK album charts but only secured a silver certifcation in the UK.

The band released their last studio album so far, Post-Apocalypto, on November 2, 2018. The album was not particularly successful, failing to secure spots higher than 19 on the Austrian album chart and number 21 on the Swiss chart.
