Ice Spice kick-started her music career in 2021 with the release of her debut song, Bully Freestyle. Produced by RiotUSA, the non-album track came out on March 5, 2021.

Although the song did not touch the Billboard charts, it was streamed over 7,908,385 times on Spotify. A music video for the song was released in April of the same year and received over 1.2 million views on YouTube.

Ice Spice didn't seem to stop there and released two more non-album tracks, No Clarity and Name of Love, in November 2021 and February 2022, respectively.

While No Calirty performed better than Bully Freestyle, Name of Love became the rapper's ticket to fame after gaining major traction on SoundCloud.
