Jordan Burroughs will be joining the broadcast as a commentator at the Final X 2025 alongside another prominent wrestler, Victoria Anthony. This year's event will feature several top-notch wrestlers, including Spencer Lee, Kyle Snyder, and more.
The 2025 Final X will be held on Saturday, June 14, at the Prudential Center in Newark. It is the final step to select the wrestlers representing Team USA at the 2025 United World Wrestling World Championships. Multiple exciting matchups are ready to take place at the event, such as Spencer Lee and Luke Lilledahl's face-off in the 57kg category.
Along with them, Olympic champion Kyle Snyder will be locking horns with Hayden Zillmer in the 97kg category, and Kyle Dake will square off against Zahid Valencia in the 86kg category. Amid this, Burroughs will be seen adopting a new role alongside World Team member and women's freestyle star Victoria Anthony. Both wrestlers will join the broadcast team as commentators in Final X.
Flo Wrestling announced this news on their Instagram handle, adding a caption that read:
"Jordan Burroughs and Victoria Anthony are set to join the Final X broadcast as commentators this Saturday, June 14! Don’t miss all the action LIVE on FloWrestling!"
Burroughs was last seen on the mat at the World Wrestling Championships 2024, where Mohommad Nokhodi defeated him in the quarterfinals.
Jordan Burroughs made his feelings known about retiring from wrestling
Jordan Burroughs has not competed in any of the wrestling events in 2025 and recently made an appearance on Flo Wrestling's Radio Live, where he opened up about his retirement. He reflected on his role as a father, saying that being on the road for training all the time with a big family is a little questionable for him.
"This has been the first year when I really got the chance to say hold on pause. I need to make the conscious decision of whether I want to do this or not, and kind of sit back and get things in order. I have a big family, I have five little ones at home. So, me being on the road and me training daily is not always conducive to them to having a present father," Jordan Burroughs said.
He further shared his decision about retiring from the sport, saying:
"After a lot of deliberation, sitting down with my family and talking about it, I wanted to make an announcement that I have decided to no longer eat red meat (laughs). I'm messing with you. I'm not retired," he added.
Jordan Burroughs has one Olympic gold medal, which he won during the 2012 London Games in the 74kg category. He also has nine World Championship medals, including six gold and three bronze medals.
