Gabby Thomas reacted to US Senator and Democratic party member Cory Booker's video montage of women paired with Maya Angelou's 'Still I Rise' narration. This comes after Kamala Harris' loss to Republican candidate Donald Trump in the recently concluded US Presidential Elections.

Thomas showcased her prowess at the 2024 Paris Olympics, winning three golds in the 4x100m and 4x400m relay events and individual 200m race. The 27-year-old also won a 200m race at a Diamond League meet. Her blistering speed was also on display at the 2024 Athlos, where she clinched the silver in the 200m, thus concluding her 2024 track season in sensational fashion.

She then participated in a shoot for the SI Swimsuit's 2025 issue amid Election Day. On November 13, 2024, Thomas expressed admiration for women achievers by sharing US Senator Cory Booker's X post. The latter shared a video montage on X with Maya Angelou's 'Still I Rise' being narrated in the background.

The three-time Olympic medalist commented:

"Beautiful message" paired with a heart emoji.

The video featured clips of Thomas's childhood and her gold-winning moment at the Paris Games, alongside clips of other athletes like Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, and Caitlin Clark, among others.

Toward the end of the video, a placard reading 'Abortion Legal' popped up. During the recent 2024 Presidential election, Kamala Harris had promised to restore reproductive freedom during her campaigns.

Gymnast Simone Biles, alpine skier Mikaela Shiffrin, and several other US athletes backed Harris as the next US President after Joe Biden.
