Many track and field stars recently reacted to Quincy Wilson’s visit to Texas Tech University as he looks to decide on a college for his NCAA career. Wilson had an impressive 2024 track season, making headlines for his achievements while representing Bullis High School and becoming the youngest male Olympic track and field gold medalist at the Paris Olympics.
Having concluded his 2024 season, he has been visiting several colleges to explore NCAA opportunities, including Texas A&M, Georgia, and Tennessee, among others.
Recently, Quincy Wilson made an official visit to Texas Tech University, where he was photographed holding the NCAA indoor championship trophy. The Red Raiders men’s team claimed the title in 2024 with a tally of 50.5 points, ahead of Arkansas (41) and Florida (39). Wilson shared the images on his Instagram handle, with the caption:
“Wreck em ‘ ❤️🖤 #notcommitted #officialvisit”
Following this, many track and field stars including Hunter Woodhall, Masai Russell, and Courtney Lindsey reacted to this visit by Wilson. Woodhall, the 2024 Paralympic gold medalist in the T62 event, commented:
“Come seee us at k- state bro 🫡”
Notably, Hunter is the husband of USA field star Tara Davis-Woodhall. Both Tara and Hunter have relocated to Kansas, where the long jumper is serving as the assistant track & field coach at the Kansas State University. Woodhall’s comment implies that he wants Wilson to visit KSU and consider it as one of the options for a college career.
Masai Russell, who also attended Bullis School, where Wilson currently goes, also chimed in, writing:

Additionally, Courtney Lindsey, who was a crucial member of USA’s gold medal win at the 2024 World Athletics Relays, also left a comment:

During the 2024 Paris Olympics, Tara Davis-Woodhall, Masai Russell, and Quincy Wilson explored the Olympic Village together. The three athletes were a part of the USA’s track and field squad for the quadrennial games.

Notably, Davis-Woodhall and Russell were roommates during the Paris Olympics. While Quincy Wilson contributed to the USA's 4x400m men's relay team, running in the heats, Davis-Woodhall and Russell won gold medals in the women's long jump and 100m hurdles, respectively.
