Tyreek Hill recently responded to Justin Gatlin's comments over the controversy with Olympic champion Noah Lyles. The former sprinting sensation had taken a dig at Hill's jab at Lyles.

A few days ago, at an athletic event held in Sherman Oaks, California, Hill clocked one of the fastest times among the 91 sprinters. He also took a dig at Noah Lyles, whom he'd previously challenged for a short dash. Gatlin responded to the dig by commenting on one of his TikTok videos.

"@cheetah you got to pick a better sign my guy lol. Noah jogs 10.15 in 100m".

However, the NFL player wasn't the one to take this lying down. He responded by posting a short video on his YouTube account, where he clearly mentioned,

"Walkup is one, and the first thing I see on my phone is Justin Gatlin saying that Noah Lyles can walk a 10-15. Okay, that’s fair. That’s fair, I can’t argue that. But what I can argue is, that was like a season opener race, so first race of the season. I haven’t ran a 100m dash since Juco, which was 2012, so that’s over 13 years ago. And I’m not trained for this sh*t, broā€

Tyreek Hill's clash with Noah Lyles was set to take place in New York this weekend. However, it was later canceled due to 'complications' and 'personal reasons', as confirmed by Lyles in a recent statement.

Tyreek Hill once recounted the possible outcome of the race between himself and Noah Lyles. The NFL wide receiver from the Miami Dolphins had challenged Lyles for a dash after his controversial statement over the status of NBA teams as 'world champions' last year.

In his conversation with 'NFL on NBC' conducted in February 2025, Hill mentioned,

"I mean, yes. He should be. He should be, man, because when you think of a smaller stature guy like myself, I have great turnover. So my start is gonna be tremendous, versus his start. He's kind of a taller guy, so he needs time to build up his speed, you know." [7:59 onwards]

The NFL player further added,

"I'm really hoping for us to, you know, get a race going. My team obviously been talking to his team this whole entire offseason. They just told me to stay in shape, which is what I'm doing."

While Tyreek Hill awaits a race with Noah Lyles, the latter is preparing for the upcoming World Championships, scheduled at the National Stadium in Tokyo in September 2025.
