Hall has navigated multiple trials and tribulations ahead of qualifying for the Paris Olympics, including her injuries and surgeries. She went through knee surgery in January 2024. She underwent the surgery after experiencing a series of injuries, including a broken foot at the 2021 Olympic trials and a knee injury while training for the 2023 World Championships.

The knee injury halted her season at the very beginning. However, she made her comeback in April 2024 after her surgery and competed in the US Olympic trials, where she scored an impressive total of 6614 points, securing her spot at the Paris Games. She trounced Chari Hawkins and Taliyah Brooks, who scored 6456 and 6408 points, respectively.

Anna Hall reflects on her injury-filled year

Anna Hall recently opened up about facing several adversities due to her injuries in a recent interview with Citius Mag. After qualifying for the Paris Olympics, the American athlete revealed that this year was hard for her and felt that track wasn't fun for her anymore.

"This year has just been like so, so hard and I think my coaches and those around me can attest to that," Anna Hall said. "There were a lot of days where I was like, ‘Track’s not fun anymore. Like is this worth it? I don’t think this is going to work. I feel like the emotions coming from there to be like, ‘Wow, we really did this’ just all flooded out of me."
