American alpine skiing Olympian Mikaela Shiffrin took a day out and tried her hands at golfing with her Norwegian ski racer fiance Aleksander Aamodt Kilde on a serene golf course in Colorado.
Shiffrin and Kilde have become one of the most talked-about couples in the sporting world. The two confirmed their relationship in 2021, followed by the engagement announcement this year in April.
The skiing duo has had each other's back through thick and thin. Both Shiffrin and Kilde suffered major injuries during the Audi FIS 2023–24 World Cup; the former suffered a high-speed crash while competing in a downhill event, while the latter had an accident during the Wengen Lauberhorn downhill in January.
The 29-year-old Colorado native made a triumphant return to skiing after almost six weeks of injury break. She won the eighth World Cup slalom title in Åre, Sweden, in April to tie Lindsey Vonn and Ingemar Stenmark's record of winning eight individual titles in a single category. Kilde also recovered from the injury and resumed his skiing pursuits at the SNØ indoor ski center near Oslo, Norway.
As the two got back to their normal skiing routine, Mikaela Shiffrin and her partner recently took a detour from the sport and tried their hands at golf in Colorado's Cordillera Valley Club.
The three-time Olympic medalist shared pictures from her golf course shenaningans on her Instagram handle. In the first picture, the couple poses for a selfie, which was followed by a streak of shots in which she could be seen in a phone booth and golf cart, and she also shared a scenic view of the course, writing:
"What a BEAUT of a day at @cordillera__co."
Mikaela Shiffrin's mother, Eileen, also joined the couple to enjoy the golfing session.
Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Kilde show off their dancing skills during the workout

Mikaela Shiffrin is currently preparing for the upcoming 2024–25 Alpine Ski World Cup season, which kicks off in October 2024 as per FIS' provisional calendar in May. The first event of the season will be the giant slalom, followed by 19 more events before the big finals in March 2025.
Shiffrin and Kilde are putting in some work at the gym to stay in their best shape before hitting the slopes in the forthcoming competitions. The American skiing star provided a sneak peek into her workout regimen in an Instagram video of her dancing with Kilde. She wrote:
"Silly-dancing is the BEST way through a session."
As the 2024–25 season nears its end, Mikaela Shiffrin is anticipated to add a few more crystal globes to her collection while breaking even more world records.
