Following her victory, Carey said that she felt good about her performance and that it felt nice for her to be back at the American Classic.

"Overall, I feel really good about today. I think it was a good competition back for me, just doing some easier, watered down routines, but nice to be back and just not have to worry about qualifying to championships anymore."

Carey, who competed nine days ago at the NCAAs soared to a new height of success after this remarkable accomplishment. She revealed that she just had three practice sessions after competing in NCAAs and before coming in the American Classic which made her a little nervous.

"It was a little bit challenging but I've done a lot more elite stuff this year throughout the college season, so it wasn't too bad. It was a little nervewracking only having three practices after NCAAs before here, but at the end of day, I knew they were a little bit easier routines so I should be OK," Jade Carey said.
