American gymnast Jordan Chiles sported an all-black outfit at the BET Awards on June 9, 2025, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony celebrates and honors black actors, singers and sports stars excelling in entertainment, music, sports, television, and movies.
Chiles was part of the USA's gold medal-winning team alongside Simone Biles, Jade Carey, Suni Lee, and Hezley Rivera at the Paris Olympics. She also won the silver medal in vault and floor exercises at the World Championship in 2022. From representing the USA on the global stage to representing UCLA Bruins on a national stage, the 24-year-old has enjoyed an excellent gymnastics career
Jordan Chiles wore an all-black dress by Rick Owens, styled by Jason Bolden at the 2025 BET Awards.
The gymnast then appeared at a WNBA game on the same night between the LA Sparks and the Golden State Valkyries, where she wore a Balenciaga top.
At the BET Awards, WNBA star Angel Reese was named the Sportswoman of the year. Other nominees for the award were Simone Biles, A’ja Wilson, Claressa Shields, Coco Gauff, Dawn Staley, Flau’jae Johnson, JuJu Watkins, and Sha’Carri Richardson.
Jordan Chiles on bullying and body issues she used to experience

Jordan Chiles recently added another achievement to her already impressive career, as she made the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition alongside fellow gymnast Olivia Dunne.
Chiles reflected on her achievement and opened up about the time she was insecure about the way she looked. In an interview with Essence.com, she said:
"She was there when I would cry and be like, ‘Mom, they’re saying this. They’re saying that.’ Or I would look at myself in the mirror and call myself ugly almost every day. I think it was just really cool for her to know that I get this opportunity and that I get the ability to embrace who Jordan is."
The Olympian now feels more confident and is embracing herself and her beauty.
“I feel amazing in that I get to finally say that I’m 24 years old. My body changes every single day. As women, we have to go through a lot. We go through our cycles, we go through body positivity, sometimes imposter syndrome. I get the ability to change and hopefully make everybody embrace the same thing because our bodies are our bodies. Nobody can take that away.”
Jordan Chiles has confirmed that she will be coming back to the UCLA Bruins for her senior year and her sights are set on the NCAA Championship trophy.
