American Alpine Ski racer Lindsey Vonn had words of support for the Italian tennis sensation Jannik Sinner. Sinner recently faced a heartbreaking loss in the Roland Garros final against the Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz.
Sinner lost to Alcaraz 6-4, 7-6(4), 4-6, 6-7(3), 6-7(2) in the summit clash. The 23-year-old Sinner is ranked World No. 1, with three Grand Slam titles to his name. 2024 was a great season for Jaanik Sinner; he became the first Italian tennis player to hold the No. 1 ranking, winning the ATP Finals and the Davis Cup.
Lindsey Vonn, the American alpine ski racer, backed the Italian tennis star, after a hearbraking social media update that Sinner posted on his X account. Vonn replied to the X post with words of support, writing:
"But it will pay off soon!!!"
While this was Sinner's first final at Roland Garros, Alcaraz managed to successfully defend his title.
Lindsey Vonn shares glimpses of her foundation gala celebrations
The American alpine ski racer recently shared glimpses of her foundation gala, celebrating a decade of the Lindsey Vonn Foundation that focuses on empowering girls from underserved communities. Celebrating the gala with a disco theme, Vonn posted on her Instagram:
"Some of my favorite memories from my Foundation Gala over the years 💛 @lindseyvonnfoundation Every year the Foundation comes together to celebrate what has happened in the past year and raises funds to help continue to empower girls from undeserved communities chase their dreams...."
Vonn's foundation has had a positive impact on several girls, be it in the field of sports, arts or other fields. The foundation has worked to provide the girls with opportunities. Celebrating ten years of the foundation, the theme for the celebration was "A Decade of Disco". Vonn further wrote:
This year, we’re celebrating a decade of the Foundation and we’re going all out! 🤩🪩 The theme is A DECADE OF DISCO and it’s going to be our biggest, boldest gala yet!! 🎉
The alpine ski racer concluded her spring training camp at the Schwemmalm Ski Area in Italy. At 40 years old, Lindsey Vonn will be eyeing a podium finish at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina.
