Meanwhile, Mikaela Shiffrin is gearing up for her upcoming alpine skiing season and the Winter Olympics. She concluded her 2024-25 season with her 101st win in Sun Valley, showing resilience. Despite a severe crash in November, which forced her to pull out from the sport for some time, she returned strong and clinched her 100th World Cup win in February.
Mikaela Shiffrin opened up about her reason for being on the run for another win after the historic 100

Mikaela Shiffrin began the 2024-25 season with 97 victories and finished it by adding four more titles to her record. After achieving her 100th World Cup win in the Slalom race, she went on to secure her 101st title in Sun Valley.
In the final episode of Moving Right Along- season 3, Shiffrin reflected on the pressure she had while competing in Sun Valley, saying (2:17 onwards):
"Most people didn't really realise that the pressure wasn't entirely off when we went to Sun Valley. The World Cup points situation, especially how it relates to the start number, is a little bit complicated, a little bit funky, but long story short. Hitting 500 overall points helps your start number in all disciplines, and that was a really big goal for me to finish off the season, hitting the 500-point threshold to help with my GS start number for next season. So, that added a sense of urgency for me for that final race."
Mikaela Shiffrin boasts 18 global medals, including two gold and one silver from the Winter Games.
