NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships 2024 Results: Christopher Williams leads 400m, Joe Waskom dominated 1500m | Day 3

Day 3 of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships 2024 witnessed the Florid Gators men's track and Field team lift the championship title trophy for the third consecutive time after 2022 and 2023. The 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships are held for four days, which commenced on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

The tournament will conclude on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Hayward Field in Eugene on the University of Oregon campus. Day 3 of the event features multiple women's heptathlon events for women and other track and field events for the male athletes.

Christopher Williams secures the lead in the men's 400m at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Christopher Williams, who unofficially broke the 400m world indoor record at the 2024 SEC Championships held in Fayetteville, secured the top position in the event at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships by registering a striking time of 44.47 seconds, leaving behind Samuel Ogazi and JeVaughn Powell, who registered 44.52 and 44.54 seconds, respectively.

The Auburn men's 4x100m relay team surpassed LSU and Houston squad to stand on the top position of the podium by clocking an impressive time of 38.03 seconds. The 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships gold medalist Joe Waskom dominated the 1500m with 3:39.48. He defeated Elliott Cook (3:39.57) and Adam Spencer (3:39.80).
