Riley Gaines replied to Simone Biles as part of the ongoing argument between the athletes about the inclusion of trans women in women's sports. Gaines used measuring tape in an attempt to make her point against Biles' comment.

An argument broke out between Gaines and Biles when the swimmer commented on an X post, to which the gymnast called her out for bullying and wrote on X, "bully someone your own size". Since then, Gaines has shared a number of posts on X hitting back at Biles, and also posted a video of her husband measuring her height.

"Okay, figured I would whip out a tape measure to settle this debate. Wikipedia says I'm 5'9". Simone Biles yesterday told me to bully someone my own size and then said, ironically, that would be a man. Number one, acknowledging that there are differences between men and women...."

She further called out Biles and said in the video:

"5 foot 5 and a half. So, this is for the Wikipedia people who list me at 5 foot 9. This is for Simone Biles who tells me to bully someone my own [size]."

Simone Biles shared another tweet on June 7, calling for Gaines to use her platform to help with the inclusion of trans athletes in sports. The seven-time Olympic gold medalist wrote on X:

"You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports. But instead… You bully them. One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around."

Riley Gaines called out California Governer Gavin Newsom for allowing trans athlete to compete at track and field State Championship

Riley Gaines has long been campaigning against the inclusion of trans women in women's sports. The former swimmer recently also called out California Governer Gavin Newsom over a trans athlete being allowed to participate at the California State track and field event. In an X post, Gaines wrote:

"Gavin Newsom is a weak, spineless, morally bankrupt coward. We will not forget how he has betrayed girls and parents in his state... "

Riley Gaines shared her criticism after 17-year-old trans athlete AB Hernandez won the girls' high jump and triple jump events at the CIF State track and field championships.
