Riley Gaines recently reacted to Algerian boxer Imane Khelif skipping the mandatory sex testing as prescribed by World Boxing. The Algerian boxer was all set to participate at the Eindhoven Cup from June 9 onwards.

According to the new rules, every boxer needed to apply for the mandatory sex testing before Thursday, i.e. June 5, when the applications for the Eindhoven Cup closed. However, the Olympic champion in the welterweight category chose to give it a miss, skipping the tournament altogether.

Gaines responded to the same by posting on her X timeline [previously Twitter],

"Cool, now strip his women's Olympic gold medal"

Gaines had campaigned against Khelif's participation at the Paris Olympics due to the controversy surrounding her gender identity. When an old report about Khelif's gender identity was leaked to the public, the swimmer turned social activist shared her reaction by posting on her X timeline,

"To all the people that insisted Imane Khelif was a woman because his passport said so, you were wrong. We were right. Sincerely, People with functioning eyes and a shred of honesty."

Riley Gaines previously campaigned in support of the protests organized by the girls of Tumwater High School against the victory of a trans athlete at the state championships. She also backed a high school athlete Reese Hogan for her unique protest on similar grounds.

Riley Gaines also recently respondee to the backlash she received from gymnastics' sensation Simone Biles over the issue of her protest against trans athletes.

When the swimmer turned social activist took a dig at the Minnesota State High School's social media post over the alleged presence of a trans athlete, Biles hit back by posting on her X timeline,

"You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans people feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!! But instead… You bully them… One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!"

Riley Gaines immediately responded to the same as she commented,

"This is actually so disappointing. It's not my job or the job of any woman to figure out how to include men in our spaces. You can uplift men stealing championships in women's sports with YOUR platform.Men don't belong in women's sports and I say that with my full chest!"

Riley Gaines campaigned against the inclusion of trans athletes in women's sports since 2022. The former NCAA swimmer was a part of the ceremony, where Donald Trump signed the executive order to ban the participation of trans athletes from women's sports in February 2025.
