Day 5 of the event witnessed Kate Douglas dominating the lineup in two events, including the 100m freestyle final and 200m breaststroke semifinal. She topped the 100m freestyle final after clocking 52.56 seconds, to leave behind Torri Huske (52.93s) and Gretchen Walsh (53.13s).

Regan Smith advanced to the 200m final after registering a time of 2:04.91 in the semifinal to defeat Alex Shackell (2:06.10) and Emma Sticklen (2:07.44s).
