Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, received a warm welcome from the members of Team Snoop on The Voice, whom she joined to offer guidance during the playoffs. She took on this new role after completing her professional commitments and the conclusion of her last Gold Over America Tour performance in Detroit.
Biles was warmly welcomed by Snoop Dogg, who hyped up the gymnast and greeted her saying (via The Voice's YouTube Channel):
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls I have an advisor that you couldn't get, no one can get, only I can get cause she is the number one, the one and only, I'm talking about the gold medalist, the queen, the one and only kind of a one cause she's one of a kind. Simone Biles."
Following her introduction, Biles was introduced to the members of Team Snoop, including Jeremy Beloate, Christina Eagle, Aliyah Khaylyn, Austyn Stancil, and Mikaela Ayira, who were all starstruck upon meeting the legendary gymnast.
"It's such an honor to meet you," Eagle expressed after meeting Biles.
Simone Biles was there to assist them in building confidence and managing mental pressure while forming a connection with the audience. Speaking about her collaboration with the rapper, the 11-time Olympic medalist said:
"We were able to riff off each other and give the artists the best insight going into the next round. It was pretty easy, simple. We’re both very mellow. But if we need to bring that energy up, then we can. For us, it was about instilling confidence going into the next week," Biles said (via The Associated Press).
"We have the best experience and knowledge to give to these performers" - Snoop Dogg reflects on Simone Biles joining his team as a mentor
Snoop Dogg and Simone Biles share a great bond, and the rap icon was also present to cheer for the gymnast during her Paris Olympics campaign in August. Speaking about what Biles brought to his team, the rapper stated (via The Associated Press):
"We have such diverse careers. But the things that we dealt with, they're dealing with now. We have the best experience and knowledge to give to these performers. She's a performer. I'm a performer. We've performed under extreme conditions."
We always do our best. But sometimes things happen behind closed doors that you don't know about. So we're able to speak to those things and give them real reassurance," he added.
This year, in August, Biles cemented her legacy as the most decorated Olympic gymnast in US history, surpassing Shannon Miller by winning four medals at the Paris Olympics, bringing her total to 11.
