Camryn Dailey, hailing from Track Xplosion Elite, has been a dominant seventh-grader in the track and field realm. She recently took the track at the Brooks PR Invitational on June 8, 2025, sharing the 400m lineup with fellow middle schoolers, including Melanie Doggett, Cayla Hawkins, Trinity Perine, and others.
The 13-year-old clocked a stellar time of 51.67 to take the win, leaving her formidable rivals behind. Dailey came fresh off a phenomenal performance, winning the Middle School States 400m dash in 54.64.
Camryn Dailey was a force to be reckoned with at the 2025 New Balance Nationals Indoor. In a thrilling middle school girls' 400m race, the Texas native surged ahead in the final meters to finish on the gold podium with a time of 55.33s. She not only set her personal best but also broke the meet record, eclipsing Olivia Harris.
In the 60m, Camryn Dailey shattered the meet record, running the dash in 7.40s. The 13-year-old had a couple of strong finishes in 2025, beginning her season with a dominant 200m performance at the VA Showcase. She ran 23.76 to finish ahead of the track.
She ran the 200m dash in 22.90 in a personal record time at the Ken Roberts-Panthers Elite Track and Field Challenge. In the same meet, she clocked 55.70s in the 400m. In the following Durham Striders Invitation, she posted a first-place finish in 11.68, a personal record.
Camryn Dailey credited her feat to God after winning the 200m at the 2024 AAU Junior Olympic Games
At the AAU Junior Olympics, which ran from July 27-August 3, 2024, at the Marcus T. Johnson Track and Field in Greensboro, NC, Camryn Dailey clocked a winning time in the 200m. After her race, she shared that it was God who helped her execute a dominating performance.
"My mindset was just to do my best.. To go and find God with my talent because I know he put me on this Earth for a reason and my goal was to get the National record." (via MileSplit USA)
Pointing out the areas she needed improvement, Dailey said:
"I definitely need to work on my start, pushing out of the blocks, I need to work on carrying my speed throughout the curve, and really sling-shotting myself."
At the Virginia Beach National in December 2024, Dailey became the MVP Champion, recording a three-peat (60m, 200m, and 400m) at the Virginia Beach Championship Series.
