The competitive reality television series MasterChef is all set to return on Wednesday, May 29, at 8 pm ET on Fox. The upcoming season’s theme is 'Generations,' based on which the show has been titled MasterChef: Generations. Award-winning celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will return along with famous restaurateur Joe Bastianich and chef Aarón Sánchez to judge the competition.
The reality show will witness four different generations including Gen Z, Millenials, Gen X, and Baby Boomers competing with each other in the ultimate cook-off. One participant will emerge victorious and take home the cash prize of $250,000.
MasterChef: Generations- Release date and time
The first episode of season 14 of the hit show will premiere on Wednesday, May 29 at 8 pm ET on Fox. The episode will last one hour and end at 9 pm ET. As per Parade, new episodes of the show are expected to air every Wednesday at the same time.
The upcoming season was confirmed via the show's official website and the statement also confirmed the return of the much-loved judges.
MasterChef: Generations: What to expect and more
The theme for the last season of the show was United Tastes of America and it featured the contestants cooking dishes that their region of the country was famous for. The theme of the upcoming installment of the show is Generations and it will feature home cooks of different ages showcasing their unique skills.
The contestants will compete in various unique challenges including a series of iconic Mystery Box challenges. They will also participate in a restaurant takeover challenge and cook a meal at the Major League Soccer LAFC stadium. The show's popular Tag Team challenge will also feature in the upcoming season.

MasterChef: Generations judges
Hell’s Kitchen fame Gordon Ramsay will return as the host and judge of the upcoming season of the show. He owns the popular establishment, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which is a three-Michelin-star restaurant. Ramsay is one of the only four chefs in the United Kingdom who has maintained his three-star status, as per the chef's website.
He will be joined by much-loved judge Aarón Sánchez, a Mexican-American celebrity chef, television personality, and restaurateur. He owns Johnny Sánchez, a restaurant where he is also a chef. He is also popularly known for being the creative director of Cocina, which is an online platform that celebrates the Latin lifestyle and culinary culture.
Winemaker, restaurateur, and author, Joe Bastianich will be the third judge of the show. He owns over 15 restaurants worldwide including Becco, Lupa, Babbo, and many other prestigious establishments. Additionally, Joe has penned a memoir, Restaurant Man in 2012, which went on to become a New York Times Best Seller.
