Jon Gosselin, known for Jon & Kate Plus 8, announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Stephanie Lebo on November 28. The former reality TV star, 47, proposed to Lebo on Saturday, November 23, in a romantic setting at her favorite restaurant, Willoughby’s on Park in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, surrounded by their parents, as per Entertainment Tonight's Instagram post.

The engagement follows a three-year relationship between Gosselin and Lebo, who initially met in 2021.

As per Entertainment Tonight's November 28 Instagram post, the proposal took place in a private area of the restaurant, where Jon Gosselin asked Stephanie Lebo to marry him while both of their parents looked on. The intimate moment was so emotional that Lebo’s father was brought to tears. He expressed his joy by telling his daughter:

"You don’t know how long I waited for this day for you, and there was a time where I thought it was never going to happen for you. I’m so very happy for you and Jon."

He also shared heartfelt advice for the couple, urging them to "never stop being in love" and to prioritize love in their relationship.

Lebo accepted the proposal, and the newly engaged couple celebrated with loved ones after the special moment. Jon proposed with a radiant-cut diamond ring set in either platinum or white gold, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their lives.

Jon Gosselin and Stephanie’s relationship has been relatively private until recently. They first met at a backyard BBQ in August 2021, months after Gosselin's split from his previous girlfriend, Colleen Conrad. They began dating soon after but kept their relationship under wraps for nearly two years.

However, as Jon Gosselin's career as a DJ took off, and with frequent travels to cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Miami, the couple realized they could no longer keep their romance out of the public eye.

In August 2023, they went public with their relationship, sharing their love story in an exclusive interview. Gosselin admitted to Entertainment Tonight that as his career continued to grow, it became more difficult to keep their relationship private.

"I started traveling, and we would go together," he explained. "We pretty much said, 'Let’s just organize something and come out publicly because it’s gonna keep on happening.'"

In April 2024, he revealed to PEOPLE magazine that he was planning to propose within the year, calling Lebo "the one." He expressed how she has supported him through career milestones but has kept a low profile, not attending public events like red-carpet appearances. Jon Gosselin also mentioned that while he was open to marriage again, he and Lebo had no plans to have more children.

"We’re both fixed, so it’s not happening... We just want to enjoy life," he stated.

"It’s cool to see Collin and Hannah be the big brother and big sister," he said. He and Kate share eight children, but Gosselin stated that he and Stephanie are not planning to add more to their family.
