Episode 16 of The Voice season 26 was released on November 25, 2024. It was part 2 of the Playoffs round, which showcased performances from team Reba McEntire and team Snoop Dogg. Out of 5 contestants from each team, only 2 were chosen to advance to the Live Shows segment of the show, eliminating the rest of the three.

Assisting Snoop was Olympian Simone Biles, while Reba was helped by country singer Lainey Wilson. Previously in episode 15, fans saw Gwen Stefani's team going in for the playoffs, so the episode ahead was to see Michael Bublé's team go at it.

Jeremy Baloate was stolen by Snoop from Michael's team. So, after he sang Impossible Dream by Josh Groban and was selected to go further, The Voice fans were even more delighted. They took to X to praise his performance.

"Not me crying because Jeremy just sang my grandmom's favorite song and KILLED IT," said one fan.
"Jeremy. He has a great Broadway voice. I can see him winning a Tony. But I feel the winner of the voice should have more range, be able to sing different types of music," said another fan.
"About Jeremy's playoffs performance? well... DAMN HE NAILED HIS PERFORMANCE FR THOUGH. PERFECT song choice, PERFECT style for him. it's kind of compelling actually," a third one added.
"Jeremy Beloate Great song choice for his voice & style, immediately engaging. Great emotional investment, giving me Les Miz/Phantom vibes He adds in that cry, intentional, nails the big notes. Wonderful rendition. Unexpected ending. Loved it!!!" another wrote.

Some fans of The Voice also acknowledged the fact that Jeremy dedicated the song to his brothers who passed away.

"Wow…..and that Jeremy dedicated to his brothers who passed. Yes he’s going to be on Broadway!" an X user wrote.
"Jeremy is launching a stellar career right here, right now on this stage!! Win or lose The Voice, he’s winning at life with his voice. Stunning! @SnoopDogg is a Bad Mama Jama when it comes to coaching!" another X user wrote.
"Jeremy needs to have a recording contract and be on Broadway right now!" commented one.
"This performance from Jeremy is so beautiful and emotional!" another said.

Jeremy Baloate's performance and what the coaches had to say about it on The Voice season 26 episode 16

After Jeremy performed his own rendition of Impossible Dream (The Quest) by Josh Groban, he revealed that his brothers, Adam and Joel, passed away because of drug addiction. He said that he was dedicating the song to them because it was closer to their anniversary.

During the rehearsals, Snoop suggested he thought about his siblings while he sang in order to get more emotions out of his performance. Simone Biles said that she thought Jeremy was a "little bit quiet" at the start and advised him to give a stronger impression right from the beginning.

Michael Bublé shared that it one of his favorite performances so far and praised the coach saying, "Damn Snoop!". Gwen called the duo a "weirdo combo," while Reba got emotional and said that she could see him on Broadway. Snoop also teared up and said:

"I’m crying and I don’t care".

Jeremy was selected to advance to the Live Shows, alongside Christina Eagle, who sang Fancy by Bobby Gentry.
