The Mole season 2's first batch of episodes has already aired, giving viewers insights into the game of strategy. On episode 4, each cast member had the opportunity to watch a video of one of the players. The video contained interviews that took place before the competition started, where each contestant was asked how they would play on the show if they were the mole.
However, there was a catch. The cost for each contestant to access the videos was $5000. To the viewers' surprise, out of nine players, eight took the ticket, draining their pot amount from $60,000 to $20,000. The only cast member who didn't take the screening ticket was Q, who was upset when he discovered his fellow contestants' decision:
"We're gonna get to the point where we're not gonna have no money. I get it, everybody wants a little bit of information, but it's also to gain. So we're going to have to kind of work as a team somewhat to build this up, not to be so much individuals."
The Mole season 2 episode 4, titled Powers of Observation, was released exclusively on Netflix on June 28, 2024. The episode synopsis reads:
"In Kuala Lumpur, revealing interview tapes give players new insights. The team then uses their observation and deduction skills for a glamorous mission."
Q decided not to go to the private theatre on The Mole season 2 episode 4

Now that all the players were in Kaula Lampur in their five-star hotel, Ari told them via a video about the opportunity mentioned before. He also mentioned that if the total nine contestants manage to "resist their temptation," a total of $25,000 would be added to their pot. Ari explained:
"If all of you resist the temptation and decline the ticket, your team will add another $25,000 to the pot."
The only person who refrained from taking the $5000 from the pot was Q. Neesh, Sean, and Tony went to watch Hannah's video. Hannah and Deanna watched Michael and Muna's interview respectively. Muna, Ryan, and Michael went to see Sean's video. Meanwhile, Q stayed at home and committed to his decision to add more money to the pot. During his confessional interview, Q said:
"I don't know if it's worth it. Do I want to stand on what I said I was going to stand on of putting money in this pot? And, I thought about it for a good while. I'm not going to do it. We lost a lot of money and I don't wanna take no more money out of the pot."
The Mole contestant also admitted that he knew a few people would take the money but he didn't want to contribute to something wrong. He thought taking more from the pot wouldn't benefit anybody, especially after everyone had already lost so much of the total amount. He said:
"In my head, I already know somebody's taking it. I get maybe one or two people may want to get a little information. Could me more."
Q called everyone out for playing the game individually rather than putting in an effort as a team.
