Changes, social hierarchy, and romance have been some of the constant themes that The Gilded Age has touched upon since its first season, and there is more of it coming in season 3, but in different manifestations, as the trailer indicates.

While achieving the high position they have always desired, problems still haven't left the Russells' side. Bertha has taken the responsibility of her children, Gladys and Larry's, marriage into her hands. While Gladys regrets her lost chance at marrying for love, Larry seems to be putting a strong foot forward with his love for Marian. George and Bertha seem to be at opposite ends, as the former mentions in the trailer that everything is at stake.

Peggy seems to be much stronger, sharing this strength with others from her generation. From voting rights to having a say in society, Peggy's efforts in the trailer hint at big plot developments for her character. She is also seen to be trying her hand at love, promising some romantic story from her end.

Agnes and Ada have their roles reversed as Agnes loses her fortune while Ada inherits some from her late husband. How their equations turn out will also be traced through season 3.

The Gilded Age season 3 will release on June 22, 2025, on HBO Max.
