The Penguin finally premiered on HBO and Max on September 19, 2024, and saw the return of Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobb in the series. The show is a spinoff of The Batman that takes place a week after the events of the first film. Amidst the death of Carmine Falcone, there is a power struggle within the Gotham crime families, and Oswald wants the top price so that he can make a name for himself.However, in The Penguin, Oswald will have to deal with the emergence of Sofia Falcone, Carmine's daughter who wants to prove herself too.
