Under the Bridge episode 6: Kelly tries to kill Dusty

Throughout episode 6 of Under the Bridge, viewers get a closer look at the days right before Reena’s killers’ arrest. Dusty is overwhelmed with grief or guilt and has a breakdown about Reena’s death. This makes Kelly nervous. She thinks what would happen if Dusty finally breaks and turns them in?

So, Kelly and Josephine devise a plan to harm Dusty. Ahead of their school dance, the three teens take pictures together. But unknown to Dusty, Kelly, and Jo have different plans of their own. Kelly initially plans to kill Dusty with a rat poison that she slips into a drink, but when that doesn't work out, they bring Dusty to the train tracks.

Knowing Dusty experiences suicidal ideation, Kelly and Jo start to tell her horrible things, seemingly encouraging her to take her own life by standing in the way of the speeding train. They almost manage it, but to Kelly’s dismay, Jo has a sudden burst of humanity in her and, at the last minute, pulls Dusty away from the tracks.

It would seem that despite her tough and gangster exterior, Jo has some moral limits in her.

Under the Bridge episode 6: Samara tells the police about Reena’s death

Sheriff Roy and Cam try to look for Warren Glowatski at the school dance. Much to their dismay, Warren decides not to go to the dance party and calls Samara to tell her she won’t be coming.

With Warren not showing up to the dance, Cam and the Sheriff decide to go inside and question Samara about the whereabouts of her boyfriend, Warren. This event turns out to be one of the significant turning points in finding justice for Reena’s murder.

As much as she loves her boyfriend, Samara also knows the right thing to do—admitting to what she knew about what happened during the night Reena died. She says:

“They dragged her into the water.”

Samara mentions, “they,” and it is a slip-up on her part. As Samara begins to confess, it becomes clear that Warren plays a huge part in Reena’s death. While the cops have a hunch that Kelly is also involved, they now know that someone else was at the crime scene—Warren.

Under the Bridge episode 6: Police arrests Reena’s killers

Following Samara’s confession, the police double down their action to find Reena’s attackers and murderers, leading to the arrest of all suspects involved in her death. Police officer Cam, who had been determined to seek justice for Reena Virk, arrests Warren at the party where he had decided to show up later on.

In the final scene of episode 6 of Under the Bridge, tension escalates, and the police arrest everyone suspected of Renna’s murder, including Josephine, Kelly, and Dusty. Jo and Dusty get arrested for “assault and accessory to the murder.” Meanwhile, the police arresting Kelly Ellard for the “murder” serves as the cathartic climax to episode 6 of Under the Bridge.
